New Solana-Based Casino Bethog Goes Live
Former FanDuel DFS founders Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones have created a new casino and sportsbook on the Solana Blockchain: BetHog.
A beta version of Bethog has already gone live, and you can see game providers like Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming have signed up. There are also a number of Bethog Originals that include crash and mines games, as well as skill-based games and Player-vs-Player Bethog originals that will make full use of blockchain technology to allow P2P betting on the platform.
There are a number of new features on the platform, including ways to play along with streamers on popular channels like Twitch and Kick. There are geo-restrictions in place, though, including the US and the UK.

The Solana blockchain is an unusual choice. Most blockchain-based Web3 casinos are built on Ethereum because of the smart contracts. This team includes Josh Hanna, co-founder of Flutter Entertainment, and wants to show what the Solana blockchain is truly capable of.
Inevitably, Solana is the native token for the casino. Players can also deposit and withdraw money using Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether.
With the first round of funding, BetHog have prioritized investment in product development while scaling the business via strategic partnerships. So, we can expect to see more original games and more big-name partners.
