Online sports betting giant bet356 has opened a new US corporate headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
The move is expected to create 1000 jobs in total and is a serious sign of intent when it comes to the US market. The British-owned company has been active in North America since 2019, has an office in New Jersey, and is licenced in several US states. They include NJ, Virginia, Ohio, Iowa and, of course, Colorado. It seems Colorado was the most welcoming, as now bet365 has set up shop in the State capital.
More than 50 people have already started work at One Platte, in the heart of Downtown Denver, with 300 more set to join them this year. The new HQ will house customer service teams, software development and tech teams and a support crew of marketing, legal, finance and office management staff.
“Unveiling our U.S. headquarters in beautiful downtown Denver represents a watershed moment in bet365’s North American journey,” said a bet365 spokesperson. “The Mile High City and its thriving business community is the ideal location to launch the next chapter in our company’s future, and we’re excited to create an industry-leading, innovative workplace in our new home.”
Colorado has rolled out the red carpet for the online betting giant and approved massive tax incentives for the company. The Colorado Economic Development Commission has rubber stamped a £10.5 million ($14,055,942) performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit over the next eight years.
Of course, that tax break comes with strings attached, and it’s up to bet365 to meet the terms and conditions on jobs and salaries.
the news of the new HQ was issued jointly by the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. Those are some heavyweight partners when it comes to launching a new office, and Colorado State Governor Jared Polis has voiced his support for the move.
“bet365 will create nearly 1,000 new good-paying jobs and as many as 300 this year that will help Coloradans earn a good living and support their families, said Polis. “We are confident they will quickly find that our great state is the best place to live, work and do business.”
bet365 has one additional U.S. office in New Jersey, as well as offices in the UK, Gibraltar, Malta, Australia, Colombia and Bulgaria.
