LoneStar Review 2025 

LoneStar was launched very recently at the time of writing, as it came out in March 2025. Although the games selection isn’t the biggest I’ve encountered, the 320+ titles all come from leading iGaming developers, and there are numerous categories to enjoy such as Slots, Live Casino, Instant Win and Plinko titles. 

Of course, the casino has its flaws as well, such as the lack of Table Games, Live Chat support and Gift Card redemptions. However, given its newness I believe it’s just a matter of time until this changes.

Legal States

As it is not a real money casino, I was not surprised to see LoneStar widely available in most parts of the US. The only restricted states are Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota and Washington.

How LoneStar Works 

LoneStar is a sweepstakes casino that operates using free-to-play Gold Coins (GC) and premium Sweeps Coins (SC). All SC can be redeemed for Cash Prizes and are pegged to the USD at a rate of 1:1. On top of this, the standard wagering requirement of 1x applies before any SC can be redeemed. Because SC are worth real money, they can’t be bought in bulk.

However, as GC are not worth anything, players can buy bundles to supercharge their balances. This will also provide players with a number of free SC, although the exact amount depends on the specific bundle you purchase.

LoneStar Bonuses 

As it stands, although there is a welcome bonus available to players, no deposit bonuses and first purchase bonuses are unavailable. 

However, given the casino’s newness and the bonus selection available at its sister site RealPrize, I expect this to change in future. I also expect the casino to offer more bonuses for existing players, which are quite sparse as it stands.

Although the bonuses available for players to take advantage of are fairly slim, the casino does manage to offer some options:

• A Mail-In bonus is on offer. You can send in as many of these requests as you like, but they must be filled out in accordance with the rules laid out on the website.

LoneStar Games Selection 

LoneStar’s games library is impressive. Despite being brand new, the casino has hit the ground running with a swathe of leading developers such as Netent, Red Tiger and Nolimit City. What’s more, the fact that several of the titles can trigger huge payouts is another major sign of the casino’s intent to make a lasting impact.

As there are so many categories, including specific types of games and game developers, finding the titles you want is incredibly easy. Players can choose from Hold & Win titles, Jackpots titles, Megaways games and more by selecting the corresponding tab.

There is a good variety of RTP rates available, such as Fire in the Hole (94.08%) through to more standard titles such as Wedding Party (96.02%), and games with higher RTP rates in Heimdall’s Gate (96.48%). 

Betting amounts are also very accessible, as players can wager as little as 0.1 SC or 100 GC per game. However, some titles have higher limits, such as Double Joker Hold & Win, which has a minimum betting amount of 1000 GC and 1 SC.

Online Slots

Predictably, most of the library is Online Slots. Fortunately, the library’s overall decent size means that there is plenty here to keep you entertained. Players can choose from titles with a range of features, which allows players to customize their gaming experience as they see fit. This includes the Money Train series, which contains high Volatility titles that promise vast rewards for those who manage to win.

While most of the Slots have a minimum betting amount of 0.1 SC or 100 GC, games with more features typically have higher requirements. If you’re playing Jackpots games, you can expect betting requirements of 1000 GC and 0.5-1 SC per game. 

Live Dealer

Although there are only six Live Casino titles, this should be enough for most players who are looking for a more immersive experience. It’s also a nice change from most sweeps casinos, as these do not typically offer Live titles to their players.

Although I enjoyed each one of the Live games at LoneStar, I would especially recommend Gravity Roulette and Crash Live. Gravity Roulette is particularly ideal for players looking for major wins, as the win multiplier can climb as high as 1000x. 

LoneStar Banking 

Although the payment options at LoneStar are limited to just Bank Transfers and Skrill, the fact that an eWallet is supported is a welcome change, as it makes for much faster redemptions than a Bank Transfer. 

Players will need at least 100 eligible SC to make a redemption, which I feel is quite high. However, the other requirements are standard, such as the need to pass KYC checks before you make your first redemption request, and the 1x wagering requirement attached to all SC.

Payment Options Overview

There is no cap on how much you can win with GC, but SC redemptions are restricted to $10,000 a day. For players in New York and Florida, this limit drops to $5,000.

Is LoneStar Legit? 

After reviewing the website in depth, I’m pleased to report I encountered nothing untoward. All of the game providers are licensed, and in fact some of them are among the most well known in the iGaming industry. 

To further put players’ minds at ease, LoneStar imposes strict KYC checks, so players will have to prove that they are of age and from a permitted state to access the casino.

Company and Safety Review

Responsible Social Gameplay 

LoneStar’s commitment to Responsible Gambling is clear, with a variety of tools including purchase limits, time limits and self-exclusion available for players to use. I also liked the fact that activity reminders are made available, and that you can easily view your playing history. For less immediate help, LoneStar provides players with a range of advice on how to gamble responsibly.

However, there is a slightly disappointing caveat here. You can’t access the tools like purchase limits, time limits and self-exclusions by yourself. You have to go through customer service instead, which I find quite annoying as I feel it takes players’ autonomy away.

LoneStar Customer Support 

LoneStar’s customer support offering is very restricted, as currently players can only get in touch via email, which is a notoriously slow method. There is an FAQ page available as well, but it’s nowhere near good enough.

That said, I expect the casino to iron out its issues in time. Given that Live Chat and phone support are available at its sister casino RealPrize, I would not be surprised to see these channels made available at LoneStar.

The casino’s library is a decent size, but more importantly, it is incredibly well-categorized. There are over 15 tabs at the top of the page to allow you to narrow down the titles you are looking for, and a search bar is also available. If you’re looking for titles from a specific game provider, you’ll be pleased to know that each one has its own dedicated page.

LoneStar hasn’t compromised in its mobile casino offering, as I found it works as well on a phone as it does on a computer. There may not be a mobile app, but this isn’t surprising as most sweeps casinos don’t offer this feature to their players.
