Funz Review 2025 

The social casino world sees frequent newcomers, but Funz Casino brings something new to the table. With the backing of IWG Global LLC (the same company behind Wild World Casino), this platform combines fresh energy with experienced management.

Despite being relatively young, Funz has assembled an impressive collection of 250 games and serious jackpot opportunities. New players can take advantage of their welcoming $10 starter package, which gives you an epic 1 million Gold Coins and 30 Sweeps Coins.

It’s available to players across most of the United States, with just four state exceptions. The platform launched in March 2025 and continues to evolve, but it has some solid foundations and some basic flaws it needs to fix. 

Legal States

Funz limits access only in Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Washington, and the Canadian province of Quebec—the absolute minimum restrictions. Other operators have chosen more conservative approaches by blocking additional jurisdictions.

Funz’s website has a Kentucky address, which piqued our interest because Kentucky has introduced stricter sweepstakes legislation and pursued the best sweepstakes casinos. Lots of casinos have backed out of Kentucky entirely, so this is a bold strategy.

How Funz Works 

Funz follows the standard sweepstakes casino model with a dual-currency system. Gold Coins (GC) are for free play, while Sweeps Coins (SC) come as bonuses and can be gambled separately and redeemed for real cash or prizes later. So there is no real-money gambling, but you can win real money in a roundabout way.

The Gold Coins are the free-to-play currency that you use if you want to play casino-style games for fun only. They have no monetary value, you can’t redeem them and they’re just for in-game use. You get a major haul of these in the first deposit bonus, social media giveaways and all manner of other promotions. 

Sweepstakes Coins are effectively worth $1 each when it comes to redeem them and you’ll get 0.5 SC with the no deposit bonus and 30 SC as part of the $10 first purchase offer. There’s an Alternative Means of Entry you can send by mail to receive an unspecified number of Sweeps Coins and you can gamble them to win more.

The bonus section at Funz is one of the more unfinished sections of the site. There are clearly plans afoot for Facebook competitions, a proper AMOE and all kinds of additional bonuses. But they’re not live yet.

Funz Games Selection

Funz Casino has partnerships with two key software providers: Booming Games and Netgaming. This does limit them, but they’re new and that’s understandable. You also still get 250 games to choose from and we have seen lots of new casinos with less. 

Funz has begun developing their table game section with approximately twelve different titles, though they could do with their own category.

One feature we do like is the inclusion of detailed paytables for each game, providing transparent information about return-to-player percentages, volatility levels, and maximum potential winnings.

The slot machine collection forms the centerpiece of Funz Casino’s gaming library, which is fairly typical. Their collaboration with two alternative software developers results in a refreshingly unique game selection.

Popular titles in their portfolio include Piggy Millionaire, Lotus Love, Zeus’s Thunderbolt, and Bison Gold. Beyond these standard options, Funz has curated Megaways mechanics, progressive jackpot opportunities, and Hold & Win features.

It is no match for more established competitors and lacks some industry-leading titles, but there’s enough variety here to keep you entertained. 

Table Games 

Funz Casino offers a simple and small collection of classic table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat. The current interface could do with some work, as these table games are hidden among the slots.

Payment methods are predictably limited for such a new casino. We’d love to see more, and more coin packages than the current $10 one that is the only one advertised, but it is great value and gives you 1,000,000 Gold Coins and 30 Sweeps Coins. 

Payment Options Overview

We do think Funz needs to work on a full range of packages to cut the cost of entry down from $10. The free no deposit bonus won’t go far at all. Then you go to the Get Coins section, there are just four options, and they’re all the same. 

We can only assume that Funz will build a selection of 4 coin bundles to buy, which we’re looking forward to. 

As for our test, we went for the bank transfer and received our redemption in four days, which is pretty much on point and in line with industry standards. The 1x wagering requirements are also nice to see. 

Is Funz Legit?

It comes from the same company that runs Wild World Casino, IGW Holdings, so this isn’t a fly-by-night newcomer. But it is missing some important things we look for in a new casino, including a responsible gaming policy, proper terms and conditions and the biggest name software providers. It is also so new it has no online reputation to speak of.

Overall we say yes, this is a legit casino and your funds should be safe, but this feels like a soft launch and there’s a long way to go before the site is complete.

Responsible Social Gameplay  

When you click through to the Responsible Gaming Policy section on the site, it just leads to the general Terms & Conditions, and that’s just not good enough. It’s a lack of care at best.. Inevitably, there are no tools, and you’ll have to contact customer support to self exclude or impose any kind of limits.  

This is really an oversight from Funz, and we think they need to work on this section – urgently. 

Funz Customer Support 

We’re so used to seeing Live Chat that the WhatsApp-based support at Funz comes as a surprise. Major companies do use it, but it’s not the most popular approach in the casino space. When we tested it, Funz took five hours to respond. That could be better, but we assume it will improve over time. 

The customer support email took about the same time to get a response, and there’s a phone number you can call if things get really serious. 

There isn’t an FAQ just yet, but based on what we’ve seen we’re sure that’s on the way.

Funz UX 

The basic design is good, the site loads fast, and it’s nicely sectioned out, but it just doesn’t feel finished. The same images are used again and again, links aren’t live, and we even found Lorem Ipsum dummy text when we really started digging around. The site even loads up with a WordPress Favicon. There’s so much to do here that we can only call this a soft launch.. 

The games lobby could do with more structure as well, as you have to look through the slots to find the table games.

Parent company IGW Global runs Wild World Casino, and this is its second venture. Wild World Casino has almost 700 games and is a much more complete casino, so if Funz follows in its footsteps then this should be a contender before too long. 

Our Verdict

The basic building blocks are in place, and Funz Casino looks like it could go on to be a winner, but it isn’t yet, and we’re just left with the feeling that they launched way too soon. Sections like the Responsible Gambling Policy just can’t sit like that, and the unfinished site could cost them. 

We do like that massive first purchase bonus, though, and it could become the casino’s real calling card. 

So, we have mixed emotions with Funz Casino as it stands. There’s lots to do, but it could ultimately be a winner. We’ll keep you updated.
